Talisker Distiller was founded by a pair of brothers, Hugh and Kenneth MacAskill, in the year 1830. The distillery produces Island single malt Scotch whisky and is located in Carbost, Scotland on the Isle of Skye. Talisker 10 Years is an Island single malt Scotch whisky aged for a minimum of 10 years in American oak casks and bottled at 45.8% ABV. Originally it was released as an 8 years old whisky, but Diageo increased the maturation to 10 years to include Talisker 10 Years in their Classic Malts series.

Colour: Bright Gold. The colour from this expression is due to the unique distillation process of the Talisker distillery. Nose: Powerful peat-smoke with sea-water saltiness, the liquor of fresh oysters, a citrus sweetness. Palate: A rich dried-fruit sweetness with clouds of smoke and strong barley-malt flavours, warming and intense. At the back of the mouth is an explosion of pepper. End note: Huge, long, warming peppery finish with an appetising sweetness.
